If prayer is your last resort when dealing with people and situations then you have missed the main work by which we are meant to serve God and man.
What is the key to having our prayers heard and answered? We learn in this talk the importance of keeping our lives free from sin.
Prayer is talking and listening to God. We need to nurture a living relationship every day just as in any close friendship.
Beyond all other things what is most needed for the work of God to continue is men and women who pray.
Do our prayers end up being superstition because we have no confidence God will answer? What is wrong? Can we pray with certainty and effectively?
When you pray do you have any confidence in who you’re praying to–or if your prayer will even be heard much less answered?
Many of us say we believe in God but we never get anything from him because we do not honestly go to him and talk to him as though he is really there.
How do I learn to pray in a way that God is able to answer and I am able to experience his bringing about change in my situation?
Are you getting through to God personally? The only way to get to God is in prayer. How much time do you give to Him?
Our inner attitude should be trust, not in one another, but in God implicitly for all relationships. If not, we become critical and angry with one another. Then we don’t want the best for one another, we want to hurt with harsh actions and comments.
Praying in the Spirit is our most important weapon for engaging in spiritual warfare. We pray based on what God thinks rather than what we see.
What does it mean to “pray in the Spirit?” For this kind of prayer we must get past our own pressing needs so as to pray what is the Father’s will.
We can see general grace in the order and design of the world around us. Redemptive grace is hard earned through intercessory prayer for others.
Rees Howells realized he must deal with natural affection before he could accept a supernatural love for others and care and pray for them.
What does it mean to be an intercessor for others? We must first come to a place where we forget our own concerns so we can take up God’s concerns.
God will always answer our prayers. He will not let us pray on and on without giving us an answer. What do we do if we are not getting an answer?
Prayer is the Christian’s most difficult task. We learn how to pray but also the necessity of prayer for bringing about God’s will where we live.
God hears all our prayers but what determines whether He answers them or not?
Is it possible for us to speak personally with God? When we pray or talk to God, does he really hear us, or are we just bluffing ourselves?
If you don’t talk to God yourself, then you’re wasting your time going to church or church meetings. Why do you think this is so?
Do you pray? When do you pray-everyday? Or do you throw up foxhole prayers when trouble strikes hoping something good will happen?
The most important point of prayer is getting to know the one who made you and the only one who will be with you at the end.
Only one thing is needed to be able to pray according to God’s will.
How do you know when you truly love someone?
Man’s extremity is God’s opportunity. God wants us to plead with Him importunity, repeatedly and continuously for the impossible problems we face.
In a fallen world God allows impossible problems to drive us to Him. Never give up praying because man’s extremity is God’s opportunity.
God wants us to pray for a person until we have the answer. To stop praying for a person or situation means that we have stopped believing God.
God wants to answer our prayers but so few of us will plead with Him repeatedly for the impossible situations we face.
Why doesn’t God answer our prayers at times? Could it be that He knows we don’t really love the person we’re praying for?
