Is it possible to be as free of worries, as free of what others think, as free of what I have to do next week as someone who died, yet still be alive?

Cheap grace is to try to do our best but yet we continue to sin and ask for forgiveness. Real grace is to rely on Jesus’ death so you can obey God.

What is real happiness? Is it possible to be clean and pure inside? Is it a matter of trying harder? Why do we fall back into worry, anger and envy?

Why is religion so popular but changed lives so rare? Why are so many so unlike the one whose name they claim? Is there a truth they skipped?

Be honest with Jesus, don’t compromise. One of the final exhortations to the body as Pastor preaches one of his final sermons. The Bible and not a preacher or church is the final authority.

Can we remember when we knew we needed God? Do we treat him the same? Has he become a consultant? Are we so in control we can hardly hear him now?

Does our personality get out of control? Do circumstances predict our reaction? Do we have to fall into anger? Do we have to fall into lust?

Are we trying to copy the winsome gracious life of Jesus, or are we daily waiting for him to live out a special version of his life in us?

How is the truth of what God has done for us in Jesus made real to us here, in this life?

Many of us don’t live free lives. We live determined lives — that is lives that are determined by what others do or don’t do to us.

God limits himself to acting through men and women. If we waste our emotions on our families they may be unavailable for his concern for our neighbors

Can God express the beauty of Jesus through our minds and emotions or are they caught in the old track of our human powers?

When the Holy Spirit comes into your heart he makes you treasure honesty. When we examine our hearts do we find a desire that wants to rise up and rule our own lives? Perhaps that is the clearest mark of the spirit of antichrist.

Balaam’s Ass was used to help Balaam hear God’s voice. God wanted Balaam to speak and act in God’s strength not his own.

Did Joseph, in the Old Testament, really have to go through all the things he went through? Wasn’t there some other way to achieve the same ends?

An honesty before God is what consecration requires. Then a certainty from the Holy Spirit brings a great peace and rest–a definite act and experience by faith.

It is possible for us to have a fear of hell and a fear of God yet not be a true follower of Christ.

“Happy is the man who does not find anything in himself to condemn.” Is that possible? Are you able to say that of yourself? You can!

Jesus has a will separate from his Father. He chose to live the life God had planned for him — he was not forced to live it.

Your life has been made new and perfect before time. The old version with its worries and fears God allows you to see so you can choose his real life.

Our choice is to believe we are in Jesus. Just as he came, we came to earth and the only existence we have is as part of him. We live because He lives.

What causes stress and insecurity in our work? Many of us hate work. Does God have another way for us to deal with life’s stresses? Is peace possible?

How do we surrender all to God?

Zwingli said, “For God’s sake do something brave.” Make reality a definite act of forgetting yourself. Do it every day and encourage others too.

Our unique life in Jesus is personal. We must allow him to speak to us personally through prayer and study.

Are you clear about why you were made? Or as we prefer to say, why you are alive?

Jesus became a human being before he was born on earth. He has stayed a human being since he left earth and will remain a human being forever.

Do you feel like you can conquer any difficulty yet aren’t successful? If not, do you need a helper who can ‘slip in’ his strength for your weakness?

Relationships go wrong when we attempt to make others what we think they should be. We won’t extend to them the freedom to just be themselves.

Good relationships can be destroyed by using our human wisdom to make someone change. That is the Holy Spirit’s role. He is doing it all the time.

We’ve all been changed in Jesus through his death but many of your family and friends don’t know it yet. Be to them what God has been to us– patient and encouraging.

Do you waken in the morning with a sense of oppression and doom that you don’t know where it comes from? There is a command of God that if obeyed will cut through the depression.

The things that occur in your life to destroy your joy are allowed by God to get you to rejoice in God Himself and not in the outward circumstances.

To rejoice and have no anxiety is a command in God’s word. It counters our sin of worry which is a lack of trust in our Father God.

Worry and anxiety will paralyze you unless you take hold of God’s remedy and practice it everyday.

What is the most important thing to a real Father? You, yourself. Could God really think about you like that?

Are you just a better form of animal? Are you just another of billions of creatures on this earth? Could you be special and unique?

Why doesn’t God stop evil? Why would a good God allow men to kill and molest and destroy?

Is there anyone else like you? Are you just one more little being among the billions on this globe?

What is the difference between your outward life and the real you?

What is the one thing we need? What could satisfy like an infinite well of love?

Why doesn’t this world satisfy? Why are even people who seem to have it all still dissatisfied?

Why aren’t we happy and why isn’t our work a joy? Could it be we’ve fallen our of love?

Why are we so dominated by what others think of us and by worry? Why are we unsure who we really are?

After all our trying to improve and make ourselves better has failed, there is only one way to be beat our old nature.
