We’ve all been changed in Jesus through his death but many of your family and friends don’t know it yet. Be to them what God has been to us– patient and encouraging.
Do you waken in the morning with a sense of oppression and doom that you don’t know where it comes from? There is a command of God that if obeyed will cut through the depression.
The things that occur in your life to destroy your joy are allowed by God to get you to rejoice in God Himself and not in the outward circumstances.
To rejoice and have no anxiety is a command in God’s word. It counters our sin of worry which is a lack of trust in our Father God.
Worry and anxiety will paralyze you unless you take hold of God’s remedy and practice it everyday.
What is the most important thing to a real Father? You, yourself. Could God really think about you like that?
Are you just a better form of animal? Are you just another of billions of creatures on this earth? Could you be special and unique?
Why doesn’t God stop evil? Why would a good God allow men to kill and molest and destroy?
Is there anyone else like you? Are you just one more little being among the billions on this globe?
What is the difference between your outward life and the real you?
What is the one thing we need? What could satisfy like an infinite well of love?
Why doesn’t this world satisfy? Why are even people who seem to have it all still dissatisfied?
Why aren’t we happy and why isn’t our work a joy? Could it be we’ve fallen our of love?
Why are we so dominated by what others think of us and by worry? Why are we unsure who we really are?
After all our trying to improve and make ourselves better has failed, there is only one way to be beat our old nature.
